Ruedi Hafen

Ruedi Hafen took what was once was a struggling business, with only one helicopter and several dilapidated buildings and turned it into a properly landscaped and paved heliport with refurbished buildings, including a gift shop, gourmet café and state-of-the-art photography studio. Niagara Helicopters – one of Niagara’s premiere tourist operations – doesn’t just do sightseeing tours, they also do search and rescue operations over the gorge, golf course visits, winery tours, executive fishing trips throughout Niagara, as well as serving as Niagara’s Chapel in the Sky, where two local Reverends perform wedding ceremonies. Ruedi has been honoured with several community service awards, including several Attraction of the Year awards from various organizations and the Grand Misty Award for lifetime contribution to the tourism industry in Niagara Falls.
